Transportation is provided and you will be picked up at your hotel to start your ride to the Manuel Antonio National Park. This national park is one of the most famous in our country due to its wide variety of flora and fauna. The park has 3 different trails that go from flat to very steep. On this tour a very knowledgeable nature guide will walk you through the Manuel Antonio National Park, explaining the mysteries of the rainforest. The trail you will take is flat and picturesque and loops through the park making your course about 2 miles long. Throughout your hike your guide will stop and teach you about the park ’s natural history, which include exhaustive descriptions of animals and plants that can be observed during the hike. Along the way, you can take pictures or just admire the view. One of the highlights of this tour is that Manuel Antonio hosts 3 of the 4 existing tropical primates (monkeys) living in Costa Rica. Half way through the hike, you will enjoy a leisure stop at the world wide famous Third Beach. Once there you can rest on the beach or play with the waves. This stop is about 20 minutes.

Throughout the hike is common to see sloths, birds and reptiles as well as admire orchids, butterflies and tropical trees. Your guides are equipped with Pentax and Swarovski telescopes, so you can observe wildlife and take pictures from a different perspective. Once the tour is over transportation will be provided and you will be taken back to your hotel. The Manuel Antonio National Park is closed on Tuesday.

Surf Lessons

You will be picked up at your hotel in the Manuel Antonio area and take you to one of the best surfing beaches in the area for a three hour surf lesson in a group of three students max per instructor. Your pick-up time will depend on the tides because we want to be sure that you will catch the best waves possible. On arrival at the beach you will be outfitted with the “Tools of the Trade” (surf board, leash and licra top), and will get ready for the fun to begin.

Your bilingual instructor and his assistants will give you a safety talk and begin to demonstrate the first steps of surfing before you even get into the water. When you feel confident enough to give it a go, your instructor will accompany you into the waves and continue to instruct you throughout. Surfing is tiring work, so when you feel ready to take a hard-earned break on the beach, help yourself to some fresh fruit and delicious cold drinks. Then it’s back into the water to catch some more waves before finally being driven back to your hotel.

Horseback Riding Tour

Transportation is provided and you will be picked up at your hotel and go to the property where you will start your horseback riding tour. During the 40 minutes’ drive to Londres - where the tour starts your guide will give you a interesting briefing about the history of Quepos. Once you reach Londres you will set foot on a picturesque property that has bathrooms, stables, a corral and an open-air waiting area. You will receive riding instruction, safety tips and practice time, before heading out to explore the rainforest. This Manuel Antonio tour allows you to uncover the exotic secrets that lie within this secondary rainforest. The maximum altitude of this area is 600 meters (1900 ft). You will ride through the mountains without reaching the mountain top.

Your horse ride lasts about 2 and half hours (roundtrip) and it will be highlighted by amazing valley views, verdant vegetation and numerous wildlife species such as birds and reptiles. At the end of the trail there is a beautiful waterfall where you will be able to rest for about 30 minutes. You can lie on the grass or take a swim or even both! After the break, you will return riding the same trail. At the end of your horseback riding tour you will be served a delicious lunch made with local ingredients, and enjoy a little conversation before heading back to your hotel. This Manuel Antonio tour does not require previous experience.

This tour begins with a river walk along the Rio Seco's edge. Hand rails and easy to follow footpaths along with observation platforms allow you to observe waterfalls and capture, with photographs, the rich biodiversity this unique site has to offer. Rainmaker is home to Morphs butterflies, varieties of birds, the colorful poison dart frog, and thousands of unique plant species. Depending on the time of year, visitors are also afforded sightings of incredible reptiles and other animals that make their way down to the water. At the end of the walk a pristine waterfall pool will beckon you to enjoy a refreshing dip.

Continuing up the trails, visitors will come to the Canopy Bridge system. This system consists of suspension bridges, built to U.S. engineering standards. The six sections total 250 meters, spanning from platforms attached to massive hardwood trees to create the most impressive Canopy Walk in Costa Rica. The design permits minimal forest impact, giving our participants an opportunity to explore the majesty of the forest canopy from a bird's eye view.

Quepos is one of the world ’s finest sport fishing locations. Marlin magazine named Quepos one of the best locations in the world for “all year around action ”. In shore angling requires only a short run to the fishing grounds, is relatively inexpensive and offers great views of the coast.

Expect lots of Rooster fish, Dorado (Mahi-Mahi), Jack Crevalle, Snapper, and Mackerel to complete your catch. The offshore reefs will provide good numbers of Amberjack, Red Snapper, Tuna, Black Marlin, and all the Sailfish you can imagine when in season.
